wedding inspiration – wedding ring tattoo

it’s true that wedding ring is a symbol of the couple’s inward bond.  but for some other people, this might give them a red, scaly rash on their finger due to their allergic reaction to the materials in the ring.

a fairly new trend of wedding ring tattoos takes a spin on the traditional wedding ring exchange.  we like this idea as it adds a little bit more forever behind your vows.  it is also a great alternative for those who are allergic to their rings, or prone to losing jewelry.  we have seen newlyweds using simple band tattoo motif, and other intricate artwork with initials, symbols and wedding dates, and here are some unique ring tattoos that you can use as inspiration for your wedding ring tattoo:

Q: i am still wondering to have a destination wedding or holding the banquet in town, what is the difference?

A: oh we love destination wedding as it gives you and your guests a great opportunity to spend some quality time together, while relaxing and enjoying this unique celebration at a remote place. what you need to consider though, other than budget, is the logistics (flight and accommodations) for flying your guests over, and not to mention the legal and religious aspect of a destination wedding, as the procedure and requirements vary in different countries. some couples prefer to address the legal aspects in their hometown, while having the spiritual aspects at their destination wedding. so do some research, check with local authority and see how these can be done before making your decision. but of course, holding the wedding in town will be much simpler and you can invite all friends who are in town to celebrate with the two of you.

Q: i have a dream wedding gown but i can only buy online, should i order it?

A: do not buy gowns which you have never tried on! we strongly recommend to bring a picture of your dream gown to a few local gown shops and see if they have something similar for you to try it on first, as your dream gown might not fit your body shape perfectly. also, remember to keep an open mind to try on different silhouettes, you might be surprised on how flattering you look in different gowns besides the one you dying to get at first!

Q: i want my wedding to be simple and elegant, will that help keeping my wedding budget low?

A: we have got lots of brides-to-be asking the same question from time to time! to be honest, a wedding like this does not guarantee a low wedding cost, as everyone has her own definition of “simple and elegant”. what you think is simple might not be true in reality and it might be costly to incorporate. what we really suggest though, is to take advantage of the bridal magazines and online wedding tools such as pinterest, the knot…etc. bookmark all the things which you like to have for your wedding, and show them to a wedding professional, as they will be the one to guide you and provide you with trusted recommendations based on your needs and budget.

how many gowns should i buy/rent for my wedding?

A: there really is no restriction when it comes to how much gowns you need to have for your wedding. in general, brides in hong kong wear an average of four gowns throughout the wedding day: one white wedding gown, one red gown (qipao or kwa) for traditional chinese ceremony, and one or maybe two evening dresses for the banquet (for first dance and group toasting). you can simply have one wedding gown too if you want, it’s totally up to you!

Q: how much should i spend on decoration?

Posted on March 28th, 2014 by Match & Fusion – bubble Be the first to comment

A: there isn’t a benchmark when it comes to decoration cost. it can vary significantly and it really depends on your wedding location and your preferred style. locations that already have significant decor, such as traditional churches and lavish ballrooms, will minimize your decorating costs as it may only allow a few flower centerpieces. some common areas for wedding decorations include the altar, the seats or pews, reception table, photo taking area at the foyer and a backdrop of the stage. consider all the above areas and think about which ones are the most important for the two of you in budgeting for your wedding decorations.

Q: how do i get my guests to RSVP?

Posted on March 26th, 2014 by Match & Fusion – bubble Be the first to comment

A: depending on the formality of your wedding, if you plan to have a western traditional wedding, the etiquette requires a pre-stamped enclosure rsvp cards along with your invitations. for couples in hong kong though, make sure to check with your parents upon the wordings and their preferences first, as parents are usually the hosts of the wedding. invitations normally will be sent out three months prior, or to be sent out right after the groom presents the betrothal gifts to the bride’s family for a traditional chinese wedding. if you are inviting guests from overseas, make sure to notify them early, ideally 6 months prior your big day so that they will have sufficient time to make their own arrangement such as flight and accommodations to the wedding destination.
